What do you do & how long have you worked for the company?
Appointed as Business Development Manager in November 2017, I have been brought into the company to accelerate the growth of HorizAL throughout the UK, to spearhead our ambitious expansion plans with a concise Business & Marketing Plan.
What are your responsibilities within the company?
My responsibilities are to manage all of the Sales & Marketing strategies throughout our Business Plan, implementing continuous improvements & ensuring that we meet or exceed our targeted growth year upon year.
How long have you worked in your industry?
I have worked within the Gate & Automation industry for over thirty years, firstly from a manufacturing point of view for the first 15 years, through to various sales & marketing roles for the last 15 years, with my last appointment at one of the largest Gate companies in the UK as Sales Director for the last decade.
What is your particular expertise or specialism?
Having gained a wealth of experience throughout my career, I think my major strengths lie in Business Development, Sales, Marketing & the structuring of all of these within a business.
What qualifications do you have?
City & Guilds Sheet-Metal Development and City & Guilds Welding / Plating.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Throughout my career I have taken great pleasure in working alongside & hopefully to some extent, being instrumental in developing a business from very early stages. By encouraging a self-development structure also, watching the growth of the staff with their increased roles & responsibilities, has given me a great sense of achievement as well.
What hobbies or activities do you most enjoy outside work?
Watching all sports, gym, dog-walking, reading & spending time with close friends & family.
